Mentor Coaching

Mentor Coaching

Our Mentor Coaching is based on the International Coach Federation’s (ICF) definition and is aimed at those who are looking to develop their skills as a coach and/or those working towards an ICF credential.

‘Providing professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the levels of coaching competency demanded by the desired coach-applicant (mentee).   Mentor coaching means an applicant (mentee) being coached on their coaching skills rather than coaching on practice building, life balance, or other topics unrelated to the development of an applicant’s coaching skills”. International Coach Federation (ICF).

We can provide you with Mentor Coaching to help you reflect on your coaching practice and develop as a coach.  If you wish to be recognised as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or Professional Certified Coach (PCC), ICF require coaches to have 10 hours of Mentor Coaching.  This can be 10 individual sessions or a mix of group and individual mentoring (no more 7 hours out of the 10 hour can be group mentoring).

We offer both individual and group mentor coaching.

Individual Mentor Coaching

  • The week prior to the mentoring session, you will email an audio recording of a coaching session
  • Your Mentor listens to the recording
  • You will then meet your Mentor for 60 minutes to reflect on the recorded session. The Mentor offers feedback focused on the ICF core competencies.  This session can be face-to-face or via phone or Skype.

Cost - £175/session (Charity) and £270 (Standard)

Group Mentor Coaching

Each group mentor session would be 2 ½ hours (including a 10 minute break) with coaches committing to a minimum of three group mentor sessions.  The group size would be between 4 - 6 participants.

  • Connecting up
  • Clarifying the focus for the session
  • Observed coaching practice (15 minutes)
  • Feedback and reflection
  • Break (10 minutes)
  • Observed coaching practice (15 minutes)
  • Feedback and reflection
  • Plenary Discussion

Cost:    Three group mentor sessions:

£415 per person  (Charity rate) £620 per person  (Standard rate)

To achieve the 10 mentor coach hours required by the ICF, the minimum total cost for the individual would be:

£415 (7 group hours) + £525 (3 x individual hours) = £940 (Charity rate)
£620 (7 group hours + £810 (3 x individual hours) = £1430 (standard Rate)

All our mentor coaches abide by the ICF code of ethics, and are experienced in working successfully with both individuals and groups from a variety of backgrounds.
